My Style: RI Dress-up Fest

I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t love River Island products. I am a big fan and can literally be on their website all day without sleep, rummaging through for the best deals. Don’t judge me. Afterall who doesn’t love a good deal?!

Throwback Monday

Happy new week dearests!
It’s Throw Back Monday! Yes! #TBM :p I did beause I can.

I am particularly excited because this week I am going to be a year older. Wondering how old I’ld be? Refer to The Story of My Name (Amebo Plc…lol). I am however mostly excited because the pressure at work has reduced considerably. I no longer look like a mad woman…lol. So because I’m happy I have for you all some photos from last year when I visited Wyoming enroute Canada for my sister’s wedding. I am a Sucker for Ankara so here you find me in it again. Do enjoy.

My Style: P&D Inspired

Hey lovelies! Ain’t you excited?! Heard loads of stories of people who lost their lives but thank God we made it to the new week!! No stories on this post. Ok, Just a little.

This post was inspired by my sister Ruth, who is a doctor cum business woman (CEO, Proveria and Drason Couture, P&D for short). I will tell you why.

Ever since the dissolution of the partnership between Esther (my sister who recently wedded) and myself, I have practically suffered…lol. Like any unequal partnership where the partner with fewer shares is disadvantaged at the break up I was; my sister had majority shares hence when she left thus went with her all her properties. Top priority for me was the IRON. I miss that iron. Maybe I won’t have felt that bad if I had a replacement.

Sucker for Ankara

Happy New months Chicas and Fellas!!!
I am very excited about this month, for one, because my sister’s wedding is late this month and the wedding is going to be a mini family reunion, hopefully mega fun and little stress.
So from the title I am sure you must have guessed? I am a sucker for anything ankara (African print) (okay, almost anything ankara). I am not sure I mentioned that I love designing what I wear. First, fashion design was a mere hobby but then I got loads of encouragement from family and friends to earn from what I enjoy doing and thus the birth of Karis Clothiers. Although for some time now I have been ‘taking a break’ (whatever that means) from designing for others, my head still runs crazy with ideas. Over the weekend I visited the local zoo; I used the opportunity to take some pictures of one of my casual ankara dresses. Here you have them!

My Style: Green-Blue Combo

Wearing multiple solid colours in an outfit, popularly called colour blocking, has been the order of the day. While some ladies have learnt the art of colour blocking, sadly other are still yet to, constantly blinding my eyes with their mismatched rainbow hues. The art of colour blocking does not involve only mixing and matching colours but goes beyond that. Providing tips on how to rock the colour block trend is not the focus of this post, however, numerous online resources are available to that effect. Here, I show how one can rock a blue and green combination without ‘rioting’.
